Stay focused with dedicated Shipping Workflows
Athena's dynamic tables feature keeps you focused on what needs to be done now by displaying which copies have volumes approved for shipping. As order items are approved and ready to ship, rows will appear indicating that there is an action to be completed. As these volumes are shipped, the rows will disappear from the table, eliminating the need for manual tracking and ensuring that no action is missed. This feature gives you a real-time view of the status of your shipping backlog, allowing you to prioritize and take action when necessary.

Maximum tracking with minimum overhead
Track shipping status down to the volume level and prepare individual shipping records to track exactly which volumes were included in each shipment. Shipping records are pre-populated with contact and address information based on the shipping preferences chosen by the teacher, reducing the need for manual data entry and minimizing administrative effort. When scanning a volume for shipping, Athena checks the volume scanned belongs to the copy authorized to ship, minimizing the risk of incorrect deliveries. Overall, these shipping features give you complete visibility, audit history and control over your shipments.

Take the hassle out of handling returns
Streamline returns with Athena's intuitive barcode scanning system. Simply scan the barcode on the spine label and let Athena do the rest. It will automatically identify which copy the volume belongs to and mark that volume as returned. Athena will then check if all volumes for that material have been returned and if so, mark the copy as available for selection in teacher book searches. If the order item is fully returned, Athena will also check if every order item is closed on the associated order, automatically marking the order as closed. This feature alone can save countless hours of manual effort for your teams during the busy returns period. Athena also tracks outstanding returns for all teachers, reducing the effort of tracking late returns, minimizing lost materials and saving costs.
